The RA High School Soccer teams were very well represented at the league level as a significant number of our varsity boys and girls received 1st and 2nd CVL team honors.
For the girls, Kye Ameden, Autumn Brooks, Deva Steketee, and Jess Steketee were placed on the 1st team and Amber Brooks, Shelby Brooks, and Erica Preston earned 2nd team honors.
The boys also placed four players on the 1st team as Evan Madden, Jesse Oakes, Tyler Wood and Aaron Hibbard were recognized for their achievements. 2nd team honors were presented to Cody Kendall, Shane Kilduff, Dylan Pelletier, and Michael Langely.
Congratulations to all of our honorees and all the other athletes that represented Rivendell Academy so well this season.
The Rivendell Raptors Varsity Teams consisting of Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Snowboarding and Skiing, and Cross Country are offered to students. Rivendell's Philosophy on Athletics
Competitive athletics play an integral part in the educational programs at Rivendell. The challenges associated with competition create learning experiences for all athletes. A player’s drive, determination, confidence, mental toughness, and emotional control are tested daily. The educational value of athletics lies in how the athlete copes with these challenges. High quality leadership is a must. Coaches stress commitment, dedication, and hard work and work closely with the players as they face these obstacles. With good leadership, athletes will learn self-discipline and self-motivation, and develop good sportsmanship in both winning and losing. It is our hope that athletes are taught a formula that can be applied to real-life situations: They learn to plan, prepare, perform, evaluate, and try again. Our teams play to win, but winning is only a by-product of hard work, good teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship, which are our focus.
